Love's Slave

The clouds are dull in the sky
The tears stain
The quiver in your lips
Your eyes go into an eclipse

The  windows are covered in rain
I can't see you
Your face is masked like a charade
Watching you walk away is like a masquerade

A hundred memories in my head
They kill the pain
Thoughts of loving you
Locked away now because their taboo

I'm lost in a nightmarish hell
Words are choking me
I may be lonely but not alone
My feelings are all overgrown

I told you I'd be there
I cried all night
Now I sit still on the floor
Watching as you close the door

The windows are clear
You look back
I see you cry but not wave
Love has made me its slave
