Halls of Anguish

Crimson streaks covering the glass,
Dark wet corners of steel and stone.
Glimpsing the light in hopes of escape,
Fear and anger drowning fate.
Scratching the walls,
Trying to leave.
Every corner is blocked,
Falling to bended knee.
In the corner I cry,
Cringing with unknown.
Rain soaked face,
My spirit slowly dies.
My head is pounding,
All my soul in pain.
I reach for a hand,
Like a mirage in the desert sand.
I wait for the door to open,
Giving into myself.
One last struggle for freedom,
A freedom from with in.
