Melted Emotions

Let your life be like a burning candle.
Your false sense of humility glows.
Your wanting and caring flickers.
And in the end,  your self emotions implode and melt.
Then you become a pile of clumped wax,
That you once thought you adored.
As its one time beauty gave hope and inspiration,  as well as tranquility.
But no more.  As no more you shall be.

Someday

How can you leave me standing,
Was your intellect not satisfied?
The pain doesn't show,
But the hurt still grows.

What excuse are you selling,
Shouldn't I at least know?
I guess deep down,
I had just lied to me.

I tried to talk to you,
But there was no reply.
Like sands in the wind,
Emotions were played.

I don't want to sit here,
I don't want to think of you.
Someday you'll be sorry,
Someday you'll be free.
