Reflections

Everyday my reflection looks back at me
As I peer into the eyes of the world
Something always seems to elude
How intuitive can things always be

As I look into the water
I see what's not there
A rippled illusion on things
Like a perceptive hearted forger

Starring into the night sky
Seeing the dead sea of faces
Voiceless screams of confusion
Waiting for the binds to untie

Everyday my reflection looks back at me
As I peer into my own eyes
Wanting to call out
Break out so I am free

Legacy

Like a puppeteer you pull the strings
To keep your marionettes dancing
With every word you speak
The outlying day looks bleak

Your own words begin to bite
Your dreams hold no truth
Venom courses through your veins
Lies have become your bane

Consumed by hate
You breed violence
Barbed wire twists your heart
Your created world falls apart

Your lies have pained
Your soul lies in the depths below
Innocence is suffocating
No escape hope is screaming

Ignorance is one dimensional
Your death is eminent
The legacy left is nonexistent
Nothing more then feeling discontent

Your minds internal bleeding
Rotten to the core
Your immediate future uncertain
Looking for the rope to close the curtain
